The Exhibition Center in Bangalore, covered its visitors entrance with a Sioen membrane.
Bangalore is the capital of the Indian state of Karnataka (in the South of India). It has a population of over ten million, making it a megacity and the third most populous city and fifth most populous urban agglomeration in India. Bangalore is sometimes referred to as the "Silicon Valley of India" because of its role as the nation's leading information technology exporter. The city has huge business center areas and a dominant exhibition center.
The entrance area of the famous Exhibition Center in Bangalore is covered with the Sioen T3117F [formerly known as the T3108] membrane. A simple bow structure supported by cables was used as well as some umbrellas/canopies as surrounding structures.
The State of the art plaza of the Bangalore Exhibition center, offers multiple facilities under one roof: Registration facility, Security and Vigilance, Medical Assistance, Multiple work stations to cater to large number of visitors, Clearing and Forwarding, ATM, Florist and other support services.
The membrane that is used (T3117F) is a Fluomax Type 3 - 1150g/m² low-wick fabric. Anti-bacteria treated, UV resistant and flame retardant PVC coating; Both side directly weldable PVDF topcoat. It is a high performance membrane for tensile architecture. The T3117F of today's Fluomax range is similar to the T3108 that was used at the time.
Sioen fabrics are distributed in India through Sioen dealer, Lucky International, a diversified business group- merchant importer & exporter, dealing in PVDF/ PVC coated fabrics for tensile structures, tents & temporary structures and truck tarpaulins.
